When looking for a reason behind the snack trend, it can be broken down to your customer’s smaller budgets or their desire for smaller portion sizes. Either way, there is no debating the power of the small plate.
Snacks can mean different things in different establishments. Snacks and small plates make great shareable menu items at a bar or pub for those who don’t want to drink on an empty stomach. They can be served as an appetizer at any full service restaurant and shared by few or many. They can be the snack wrap at a drive through that get your customer through the afternoon.
